Police and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are continuing to look into a suspected arson attack at a property in County Durham.
Emergency services were called to a property on Front Street (Holmside Lane) in Burnhope on Tuesday (August 27) evening at around 9.30pm, following reports of a fire.

Officers from Durham Police and firefighters from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and cordoned off the road.

The incident happened on Tuesday (August 27) at about 9.30pm, with the fire service on the scene until 11.20pm, and police remain on the scene at this time to investigate.
What has happened?
Durham Police say they are treating the incident as arson, and have confirmed that investigations are continuing.
At this time, the road remains closed, while police have also cordoned off a property on Front Street, with CSI teams investigating the scene.

The incident has happened at a property and outside the property of an address on Holmside Lane (Front Street) in Burnhope.
What have the police said?
A spokesperson for the police force said: "Police were called shortly after 9.30pm last night (August 27) to an address on Front Street (Holmside Lane), Burnhope following reports of a fire.
"Thankfully, nobody is believed to have been injured.
"Officers are treating the incident as arson and an investigation is underway.

"Detectives are now appealing for information and anyone with dashcam footage covering the area at the time of the incident.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact West Durham CID on 101 quoting incident number 410 of August 27.
"The road remains closed in both directions."
What have the fire service said?
A County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) spokesperson said: “We were called at around 9.35pm on Tuesday, August 27 to a fire at a property on Front Street in Burnhope, Durham.
“One fire engine from High Handenhold Fire Station and one from Durham Fire Station attended. Crews used a high-pressure hose reel jet to put out the fire.
“Crews left the scene at around 11.25pm.”
