A Richmond architecture practice has been named the Regional Winner for Best Residential & Small Commercial Designer at the LABC Building Excellence Awards.
Matt Ball Architecture is focussed on creating bespoke, small-scale developments and founder Matt Ball said: “Winning this award is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the collective effort of our entire team.
“We’ve always aimed to create designs that are both innovative and sensitive to their surroundings, so this recognition motivates us to continue creating beautiful, thoughtful, context-driven designs.”
Matt graduated in 2009 and began his career at a high-end architectural firm in Jersey. In 2012, family commitments brought him to Richmond, North Yorkshire, where he established his own practice. What started at his kitchen table has since evolved into a thriving practice, managing projects for private clients, large estates, and businesses across North Yorkshire and County Durham.
Matt, who lives in rural North Yorkshire with his wife and two children, is deeply passionate about the countryside. His love for rural living and his keen interest in the environment inform much of his work.
As regional winners, the firm will now be shortlisted as finalists for the LABC Grand Finals.
