A person has been taken to hospital after an incident in Darlington that saw a road closed off for over 20 hours and police, paramedics, firefighters and air ambulance crews on the scene.
Emergency services were called to Coniscliffe Road in the town at around 10.20pm on Monday (August 26), following concerns for a person's welfare.
The incident saw the road closed in Darlington on Monday evening and much of Tuesday to allow police and fire services to speak with a man on a roof.
The man fell from the roof later in the evening.
During the incident, police cars, ambulances, a fire engine, and an air ambulance that landed nearby were on the scene at various stages.
The air ambulance landed in South Park in Darlington at around 6.40pm - with the North East Ambulance Service since confirming that a person was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough via road ambulance.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We received a call at 10.23pm on Monday to concerns to a person's wellbeing on Coniscliffe Road, Darlington.
"We dispatched multiple resources, including a duty officer, clinical team leader, our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and double crewed ambulance and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance.
"One person was taken to James Cook Hospital at 7.20pm last night (Tuesday) by road, with a doctor on board."
The road has since reopened today.
A Great North Air Ambulance spokesperson added: "Yesterday our critical care team was activated at 6.21pm to an incident on Coniscliffe Road in Darlington.
"We had a paramedic and doctor on board our aircraft and also a paramedic respond on a critical care car. They arrived on the scene at 6.30pm and worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient.
"The patient was taken to hospital by the NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team."
