A road in Darlington town centre has been closed by police this morning due to an 'ongoing incident'.
Durham Police have confirmed Coniscliffe Road in Darlington is currently closed between Manjaros and Larchfield Terrace.
The nature of the incident is not yet known.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Due to an ongoing incident, Coniscliffe Road, Darlington is currently closed between Manjaros and Larchfield Terrace."
The Northern Echo has contacted both the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service and the North East Ambulance Service for further information on this incident.
