A North East man has been charged with burglary and will appear in court after a betting shop suffered a break-in over the weekend.
Stuart Carberry of Saltholme Close in Middlesbrough will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court after being charged with burglary.
The 46-year-old was taken into custody following a break in at Ladbrokes on The Green in Billingham at 5.30am on Sunday (August 25) where cash was stolen.
He will appear in court tomorrow (August 27).
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "At 5.35 am on Sunday, August 25 police were called to a break-in at a business premises on The Green in Billingham.
"A 46-year-old man was located by police and arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"He was taken into custody to be questioned then subsequently charged and remanded in custody.
"The charges relate to a report of a burglary at Ladbrookes on Sunday, August 25 involving the shutters partly up and the safe broken into with a quantity of cash stolen.
"The man will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 27."
