A man is set to appear in court today after he was charged with multiple offences including the assault of an emergency worker.
Joshua Jacob Yates, 27, who will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (August 26), has been charged with grievous bodily harm, assault and assaulting an emergency worker.
Mr Yates was questioned and charged following an incident at the Central Mews flats just before 5.45am on Saturday (August 24).
A 55-year-old man suffered a head injury as well as a stab wound and was taken to hospital.
A Cleveland Police statement reads: "The 27-year-old man was arrested by police on Saturday, August 24 and following questioning he was charged the following day with grievous bodily harm, assault and assaulting an emergency worker.

"He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court.
"The charges relate to reports of an assault outside and in the corridor of a block of flats at Central Mews in Middlesbrough shortly before 5.45am on Saturday 24 August.
"A 55-year-old man sustained injuries to his head including a stab wound and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
