A VIDEO has revealed the extent of flooding in Keswick over the weekend showing much of the town's camp and caravan site underwater.
The campsite and caravan park had to be closed on Friday, in the aftermath of Storm Lilian, forcing holidaymakers to look elsewhere.
The only flood warning in England was placed over Keswick on Saturday (August 24) with images of the high water levels shared across social media platforms.
According to the government website: "For Monday, we are expecting a generally drier day with some showers in the morning and expect lake levels to slowly fall during the day."
As a result of the ongoing conditions, Keswick Agricultural Show organisers also made the 'difficult decision' to cancel the event today (August 26) due to the car parking field being 'waterlogged'.
Despite the weather conditions, the Show's Barrow Fell Race from the Showground is still scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 26.
Elsewhere in the county, visitors to Buttermere were warned to stay away after a landslide blocked Newlands Pass on Friday (August 23).
