Revellers came out in their dozens in Darlington to enjoy a live DJ set and buy tasty stall treats at an event which took over the town's Market Square today.
Heaven in the Afternoon and the town's food and drink market were in full swing in Darlington's Market Square today (August 24).
A live DJ played tunes whilst families and people of all ages buzzed around stalls grabbing drinks, cakes, brownies, homemade scotch eggs and more.
Basking in the sun, many took to deckchairs to sit back and enjoy the ambience as the bank holiday weekend got in to full swing.
One stallholder was Jenna Bowen, 32. The Darlington based seller has been running her business A Slice From Life for two years and even has an online store on Etsy.
She told the Echo: "It has been going good so far - I'm glad the weather has been holding up. We always come here and it's nice to see the community spirit.
"If there is an event in Darlington I do try and do it, I make things as best as I can to suit everyone's tastes."
Another stall set up closer to Binns was Treats Delivery ran by 40-year-old Emma Welsh. Brownies, cookies and mouth watering cakes were just some of the things she had on offer.
She said: "It's been great so far, but I have been told it was busier in May at the last food and drink festival than it is now in August."
Selling a whole cluster of unique flavoured bottles of mead was the Crossroads Brewery ran by husband and wife team Chris and Neph Mitchinson, aged 37 and 31.
This is the Washington couple's third time selling at the market event, and confessed that they "love" Darlington.
Chris said: "The people of Darlington are amazing and welcoming. People are really enjoying the day, customers love it!"
Here are just a few pictures of the day.
