Emergency services attended a North East prison following a fire in a cell.
Cleveland Polce confirmed they received reports of a fire at Holme House prison in Stockton at 7:45pm on Wednesday (August 21).
They added the fire, which took place in a cell, involved clothes.
Police said they spoke with prison staff and found no criminal damage had occurred.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “At 7.45pm on Wednesday, August 21 police were called to Holme House prison in Stockton following reports of a fire in a cell involving clothes.
“Officers spoke to members of staff and found no criminal damage had occurred.”
The incident was also attended by Cleveland Fire Brigade.
