A talented musical actress, originally from County Durham, is stepping into a new chapter of her career in the recording studio.

After a successful career in musical theatre - where she performed in popular productions like Dirty Dancing, Rock of Ages, and Dance of the Vampires across Europe - Annis Rallis is introducing her debut single, 'Éna Astéri,' marking the beginning of her journey as a singer-songwriter.

Annis grew up in Newton Aycliffe, where she was raised by her mother. At 18, she moved to London to pursue her passion for musical theatre, training at the prestigious Urdang Academy.

Since her graduation in 2018, she has travelled extensively, performing across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, captivating audiences with her versatility and talent.

In 2023, Annis embarked on a solo journey to Bali, where she completed her yoga training, sparking a new wave of creativity and leading her to transform the poetry she had been writing over the years into music.

Drawing inspiration from her Greek heritage and the emotions she experienced during a challenging time in her life, Annis poured her heart into Éna Astéri.

"Writing this song was a deeply personal experience," said Annis.

"I wanted my first single to be authentic to who I am, and incorporating Greek sounds felt like the perfect way to honour my background.

'Éna Astéri' was born out of a time when I felt lost and disconnected, and through this song, I found a way to express those emotions and reclaim my purpose."
