Police have confirmed a body has been found in a search for a County Durham woman who was reported as missing yesterday.
Stanley woman Tracy, 49, was last seen leaving her home at 3:45pm yesterday (August 20) and was believed to have been driving a blue Renault Scenic.
Upon conducting a search, police found a body and the family of Tracy have been informed.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Durham Constabulary said: "We are so sorry to report that officers searching for missing Stanley woman, Tracy, have found a body.
"Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the 49-year-old have been informed.
"Our thoughts are with them all at this difficult time. Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
