Two people were injured after a car left the carriageway at the top of Birk Brow on the A171.
The police were called to the incident at 11am today (August 19).
While emergency services dealt with the situation the road was closed and the vehicle was recovered.
Neither of the people who were injured are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
The A171 was reopened at 12.41pm.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Police were notified shortly after 11am today by our ambulance service colleagues that a vehicle had left the carriageway at the top of Birk Brow.
"Two occupants sustained injuries which at this time are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the situation and vehicle recovery, and it reopened at 12.41pm."
