A violent young thug has been jailed after carrying out an attack using a metal pole.
In March, this year, Declan Robb attended an address in Newton Aycliffe where he got into an altercation with a man, magistrates were told.
The 19-year-old squared up to the man, lunged forward and kicked him while he was on the floor.
Robb then left the address before attending later that night with a group of people.
The victim was attacked for a second time with poles, golf clubs and bats and sustained a deep cut to his head which was glued by paramedics at the scene.
He was taken to hospital while officers carried out attempts to arrest Robb.
