Police are investigating a vile theft from a County Durham sports club after a lifesaving defibrillator was stolen from the facility earlier this week.
Officers from Durham Police are looking into CCTV images circulated of a suspect seen stealing the piece of equipment from the Horden and Peterlee Rugby Club building.
The incident is thought to have happened at about 5am on Wednesday (August 14) at the club, on Eden Lane.
The suspect broke into the changing rooms and stole various items including a defibrillator which was removed from the wall of the gym area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Peterlee CID on 101 quoting incident number 51 of August 14.
