Police blocked off several roads near Darlington train station and closed off part of the station while dealing with a trespass incident on Wednesday (August 15) evening.
Emergency services were seen on Parkgate and Yarm Road at about 9pm, following reports of a 'welfare incident' on the stretch of road.
In images of the scene, police can be seen blocking some cars from entering the car park area of Darlington train station, and several police cars were stationed near Darlington Hippodrome.

At 9pm, British Transport Police posted online that "we are on scene at Darlington dealing with a trespass incident alongside our colleagues from Durham police. Some roads are blocked near the station."
National Rail also issued an update about the situation to passengers using the trains, which included delays to some services while trains were stopped until the incident was resolved.
Rail services were impacted until around 10pm.

A spokesperson for National Rail said: "Darlington - Lines have reopened following a trespass incident in the Darlington area. Trains are returning to normal but may still be delayed by up to 45 minutes Disruption is expected until 10pm."
It then issued a further update to say that train lines had cleared at about 10.20pm.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line in Darlington at around 7.23pm yesterday (14 August) following reports of concern for welfare. Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.”
