Police have closed off a stretch of one of the regions busiest A roads following a crash this morning, causing severe delays for motorists.
The A19 Tees Flyover heading northbound remains closed following a crash between two vehicles earlier today (August 14) and drivers are stuck with increasing delays.
Cleveland Police have confirmed they are at the scene and have closed off both lanes as they urge anyone travelling to find an alternative route.
A post on social media reads: "The A19 northbound - two lanes are currently closed due to a collision on the Tees flyover.
"Emergency services are on scene. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes. Thank you for your patience."
Cleveland Fire Brigade have confirmed they were at the scene this morning.
They said: “Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 14/08/2024 at 08.03am to an incident on the A19 flyover Northbound. RTC involving two vehicles.
“Two fire engines from Stockton were in attendance. One casualty handed over to NEAS. We got the stop at 08.52am.”
