Two men have been remanded into custody after appearing in court charged with violent disorder in Darlington.
Ashkan Kareem, 33, of Grey Street, Bishop Auckland, and Abdul Rahman, 47, of Pendower Street, Darlington, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court this morning (August 13).
Kareem has pleaded guilty while Rahman has not yet entered a plea.
Kareem is next due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Friday and Rahman's case will be heard on August 29.

Two men have also pleaded guilty at Teesside Magistrates’ Court to violent disorder after riots in Hartlepool, the Crown Prosecution Service said.
Paul Thirwell, 42, and Michael Stevenson, 34, admitted the charge on Tuesday.
Thirwell, of Hindley, Wigan, also pleaded guilty to drugs offences.
