A man has died following a motorcycle in County Durham early this morning, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a single motorcycle in Helmington Row, in Crook, at 1am this morning.
Paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "A man has died following a collision in Crook last night.
"Police were called just before 1am this morning (Tuesday, August 13 ) to a one-vehicle collision involving a motorbike on Helmington Row in Crook.
"Paramedics also attended, but tragically the 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The road is now open and enquiries are currently ongoing.

"Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the incident."
