The first details of a Christmas Market that people can't wait to flock to have been revealed - as organisers are trying to get more people involved as stallholders.

Richmond Christmas Fair 2024, which will take place on Sunday, December 1, with the deadline fast approaching for market traders to submit an expression of interest to take part in the event.

Three local businesswomen, Wendy Robinson of Granny’s Kitchen, Carol Watson of Goosewing Studios and Linda Wood of Shanti Shanti are the driving force behind this year’s Christmas Fair.

They are members of the Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association (ORBTA), which is the organising body behind the event.

Carol Watson said of the event: "We couldn't let the end of the year go by without a Christmas Fair in Richmond Market Place and, with others willing to help, we've been busy coming up with ideas and plans for a family-friendly day.

"We have already written to Father Christmas who’s replied saying he'd love to come.

“The festivities will include a variety of local entertainers, both on stage and sauntering around the cobbles who will help to create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere.
