Police have charged two more men in connection with recent disorder in the region.
Ashley Mark Wilkinson, 35, of Porter Terrace, Murton, Durham, is charged with violent disorder, relating to the events in Sunderland, and possessing articles with intent to cause criminal damage and possession of a Class B Drug, relating to protest activity in Newcastle on Saturday.

John Paul Kirtley, 26, of Rutherglen Road, Sunderland, is charged with violent disorder, and both men will appear at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
