A further four men have been charged in connection with the recent disorder during anti-immigration protests in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.
Cleveland Police said three of the accused, two men aged 24 and a 27-year-old, were charged following the widespread unrest and vandalism in Middlesbrough last Sunday (August 4), while a teenager has been charged following similar scenes in Hartlepool, on Wednesday, July 31.
One of the 24-year-old men was charged with burglary, while the other is accused of violent disorder, as was the 27-year-old.
A 19-year-old man was also charged with violent disorder arising from the Hartlepool protest.
All four men were remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday August 12).
Seven people have so far been jailed arising from the trouble that broke out in both towns in the wake of the killing of three girls at a dance class in Southport on Monday July 29, with several more due before courts in coming days, including two arrested after youths confronted police in Darlington on Wednesday (August 7).
Meanwhile, three men and one woman received prison sentences of between two and two-and-a-half years at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday (August 9), following the widespread violence and vandalism in Sunderland, the previous Friday (August 11).
Several more men are due before courts in coming days as more of those arrested since the disorder in Sunderland are charged.

Fourteen people were arrested amid rival demonstrations in Newcastle yesterday (Saturday, August 10).
Northumbria Police used special stop and search powers and confronted people wearing face coverings, such as balaclavas and masks, but praised the vast majority of those attending for maintaining the peace.
A large police deployment ensured the rival factions were kept apart before the dispersal powers were put into effect in mid-afternoon to clear the streets of protestors.
