County Durham, Darlington and Teesside pubs were among those shortlisted and winners of CAMRA's Pub of the Year awards.
The Grey Horse pub in Consett bagged the Pub of the Year award.
Not new to recognition and merit, The Grey Horse has won multiple local CAMRA awards, as well as last year’s regional award and has secured a spot in the "super regional" round of CAMRA’s national competition.
A CAMRA spokesperson said: "The pub’s two rooms remain in traditional style, with a fabulous mural of a pub interior and an original kitchen range feature in the bar, while beer festivals are held twice yearly.
"There’s the added advantage of the Consett Ale Works brewery out the back, which provides the bulk of the pub’s impressive real ale offering to add to others brews from across the land."

The awards covered North East CAMRA branch areas including: Cleveland, Darlington and the Dales, Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside, and Tyneside & Northumberland.
The runners-up were Quakerhouse in Darlington, the Golden Smog in Stockton, Microbus in Gateshead, and Marine in South Shields.
Durham City’s Station House received the Cider Pub of the Year award.
A CAMRA Durham spokesperson commented: "Our region is not a traditional cider-drinking area, in that real cider is very hard to come by, so this award recognises those pubs that have gone the extra mile to provide the real thing."
The Station House supplies cider from the Elvet Cider Company, one of the few producers in the region.
The Half Moon in Darlington was the runner-up in this category.
The Club of the Year regional award was won by the Mid Boldon Club, with Tanfield Lea club, Heaton Stannington FC, and Darlington Snooker Club being the runners-up.
