A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after armed police responded to reports of two men carrying weapons yesterday.
Officers were called to the High Newham Road area of Stockton at about 3.50pm yesterday (Friday, August 2).
Police had received several calls reporting two males in possession of bladed weapons in the area.
Officers could be seen patrolling the area around a row of shops and outside the hospital.

By the time they got there a man in his 40s had been taken to hospital by the ambulance service. He had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "An area search was carried out, however unfortunately officers were unable to locate any suspect.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal for anyone with information, doorbell/dashcam/cctv footage which could assist to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 146938.
