A flight was forced to make an ‘emergency’ landing at a North East airport last night.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines have confirmed their flight KL0961 landed at Newcastle Airport last night (August 1) on an emergency.
They confirmed the aircraft was due to depart this at 6:05am, but this has been cancelled as engineers continue to work on the aircraft.
The airline also confirmed all customers had been put on alternative flights.

A KLM spokesperson said: “KLM KL0961 landed at Newcastle Airport last night on an emergency.
“The aircraft was due to depart this morning at 06:05 and was cancelled as engineers are still working on the aircraft.
“All customers have been rebooked on alternative flights”
