A pedestrian has been left with serious injuries after she was hit by a car, as police sealed off a high street for several hours.
The incident saw a woman hit by a vehicle in a car park just off Stokesley High Street, outside of Newton’s Solicitors and Contemporary Hair Salon, on July 31 at about midday.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, is believed to have been struck by a red Vauxhall Astra and was taken to James Cook Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
They are not believed to be life-threatening at this time, but she was seriously injured in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle has been interviewed by police.

The area was cordoned off for several hours to allow police to investigate the collision and paramedics to take the woman to hospital.
North Yorkshire Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward and provide information and dashcam footage.
