Shildon AFC is set to hold 'Football, Fun and Food' special events for schoolchildren over the summer holidays.
The Northern League Division One football club plans to keep the children of its community active, well-fed and engaged throughout July and August.
The event, which started on July 29 at Dean Street grounds, is hosting a range of football-related activities for children from local schools including Thornhill Primary.
David Dent, chairman of Shildon AFC added: "We're absolutely committed to social value and giving back to the community, so we're thrilled to be able to support the local children and their families over the school break, along with our sponsors."

Sponsors of Shildon AFC, JT Atkinson and Hathaway are also participating.
Business development executive from Hathaway, Ruth Dinsdale said: "We’re delighted to support this worthwhile event, that encourages and promotes the health and wellbeing of our local children in the community."
Shildon AFC's second week of activities will kick-off after the summer bank holiday, on August 27.
