Police are appealing for information after a wood chipper was stolen from an industrial estate in Sunderland.
The theft occurred on July 18, at an Ellesmere Court site within the Leechmere Industrial Estate.
It is suspected that the offenders gained unauthorised access to the compound before making off with the chipper and trailer.
Officers believe the alleged thieves could have travelled towards the Peterlee or Shotton Colliery area.
Northumbria Police are encouraging witnesses or anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
They said: "Your information, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, could prove crucial to officers’ enquiries."
Northumbria Police can be contacted either through their website's live chat, a direct message or by calling 101 and quoting crime number 083799A/24.
