A man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter minutes before he was due to stand trial for murder.
Trenton Marlowe admitted killing Darren Saunders, in a short hearing at Teesside Crown Court this morning (Monday, July 29).
The 52-year-old was found dead at a house on Essex Street, in Middlesbrough, on Monday, January 22.

Cleveland Police said officers were called at about 9.10pm and Mr Saunders was found dead at the property.
Judge Jonathan Carroll told Marlowe, of Overdale Road, Park End, in Middlesbrough, that a custodial sentence was inevitable before adjourning the case to allow time for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Marlowe was remanded in custody until his next appearance on October 11.
