Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was allegedly assaulted as he rode his bike on a Darlington footpath.
The boy was taken to hospital after the incident near the Five Arches bridge in Darlington on Thursday, July 4.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault near the Five Arches bridge in Darlington earlier this month.
"The incident took place on the footpath beneath the bridge between 3.30pm and 4.15pm on Thursday, July 4.

"A teenage boy, who had been riding his bike on the path when he is alleged to have been assaulted by a man walking towards him, was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
