A new Darlington cocktail bar has announced it will be opening its doors next week.
The Hummingbird has confirmed it will be open its venue on Blackwellgate on Friday (August 2).
It will open in place of the former Hoskins bar.
Signage depicting the logo for The Hummingbird went up outside the entrance to the venue back in May.
A spokesperson for the venue said: “Firstly we can only apologise for the delayed opening…. However it will be worth the wait.
“Our Grand Opening is Friday, August 2
“We can’t wait for you to see the transformation.

The renovation of the bar has seen it fitted with a new bar, carpet, flooring, and furniture.
Adding to this, a new sound system, glitter balls and stage have also been added – while new toilets have been installed.
