A man has been arrested after a "stabbing" in Spennymoor.
Police and paramedics were called to Oxclose Crescent on Wednesday, around 6.40pm, after reports that a man had suffered a stab wound.
The victim, a man in his mid-40s, was found by officers with a single stab wound to the leg and was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham for treatment.
Durham Constabulary has confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening.
A man, aged in his mid-40s, has since been arrested on suspicion of wounding and is helping police with their enquiries.
Eyewitnesses said crime scene investigators and armed police were both at the scene around 8pm - although this has not been confirmed by authorities.
