A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a Fiat 500 after a police chase.
The suspected stolen car failed to stop for officers on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough at about 11.30pm on Wednesday (July 24) night, police said.
A chase ensued with the vehicle veering into a parked car.
Police said the 25-year-old man got out and was aggressive towards officers before being detained.
He was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance or a licence.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “He remains in police custody at this time.”
