An award-winning author is set to launch her new book at Darlington Hippodrome on July 30.
Lisette Auton who is based in Darlington, is an author, playwright, activist, creative practitioner, mentor, filmmaker, and performer.
Her new book, Lights Up, is described by publishers Penguin Random House as "A magical, theatrical adventure about friendship, acceptance and putting the ghosts of the past to rest."
At an interactive family event, attendees can learn about Ms Auton's journey as an author and draw inspiration from their surroundings.

Participants will be introduced to Rex, the theatre ghost dog and can engage in a Q&A session with the author.
There's a chance to buy books from local independent Drake the Bookshop and meet Ms Auton for a signature.
Some items from the Hippodrome's archive that inspired her latest ghost-filled, theatre-themed tale will be displayed.
This free event, including BSL interpretation and audio description, kicks off at 11am.
