The front windscreen of a van has been left smashed after bricks were reportedly thrown from a Middlesbrough bridge and onto passing cars.
The incident happened on the A174 on Tuesday afternoon when two youths allegedly hurled objects from Ormesby Bridge onto traffic.
The bricks hit several passing vehicles on the road below - causing damage including a smashed windscreen.
Pictures provided to The Northern Echo show the damaged front of the van, which was carrying a baby inside at the time of the ordeal.
Footage was shared widely across social media in a bid to identify the two youths.
Cleveland Police has since identified the pair, who are aged 9 and 14, and has visited and spoken with them in the presence of their parents.
The 14-year-old boy was then referred to the Youth Offending Team.
A full statement from the force said: "Two young people have been spoken with and one referred to the Youth Offending Team after reports of youths throwing bricks from Ormesby Bridge on the A174 on Tuesday evening (23rd July 2024).
