A woman has been charged with attempted murder after trying to slash someone in Redcar.
The pensioner reportedly attacked a 63-year-old woman in Redcar this week, and has been charged with both attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Redcar & Cleveland CID have charged a 69-year-old woman with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place after a reported stabbing incident in Redcar on Tuesday, July 23.
"A 63-year-old woman suffered injuries in the reported incident but is now recovering.
"The woman is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Thursday 25th July."
