A two-day roadwork closure is taking place in Richmond town centre - adding to the growing list of carriageway works in the town.
Drivers travelling down Victoria Road after 9am have been diverted on another route after contractors were seen carrying out spray Injection Patching.
This road closure will be in place until Thursday (July 25) at 3.30pm.
Road closure and diversion signs were seen on Victoria Road next to the crossing, while another sign noting the closure was seen in other parts of Richmond.
The diversion route is: turn right towards Rosemary Lane, turn right towards Newbiggin, continue on Newbiggin, turn right towards Cravengate, and turn left towards Victoria Road.
These roadworks on Victoria are combined with other works happening in Richmond, which include part closures that started on July 1 and will continue until the start of October.
This will see work on Gilling Road to Dundas Street from Monday, July 29 for 11 weekdays (7 pm to Midnight each day) and Dundas Street to Victoria Road - from Tuesday, August 13 for six weekdays (7pm to Midnight each day).

For all of the closures, North Yorkshire Council have confirmed that the closures will take place on an evening.
All of the routes affected are:
- A6108 Victoria Road, Richmond
- A6108 Queens Road, Richmond
- A6108 Pottergate, Richmond
- A6108 Frenchgate, Richmond
- A6108 Darlington Road, Richmond
On the North Yorkshire Council roadworks map - a notice states: "Patching takes place to repair the road surface, it involves removing a part of the surface around a pothole or defective surface course and placing a new patch of road surface. This is a cost-effective method to repair damage when a small area is affected and precedes surface dressing."
