A North East shopping centre is set to open a roller skating rink in August with sessions available to be booked from Wednesday.
Located at Gateshead's Metrocentre, the pop-up roller rink invites skaters of all ages and abilities to join in an experience filled with fun, entertainment, and nostalgia.
The rink will be open from August 7 to September 1, every day from 11am to 7pm.
Helen Atkinson, marketing manager at Metrocentre said: "Roller skating is making a comeback, and we're thrilled to be bringing a groovy Roller Rink to Metrocentre throughout the summer, which is going to bring a fun, relaxed and cool experience for anybody who wants to skate, whether that's for practising or trying for the first time.
"Roller Rink at Metrocentre welcomes skaters of all levels and will be open every day throughout the summer, featuring special live performances from local roller-skating stars from the Northeast."

The cost of skating is £2 per person and includes skate hire.
All proceeds raised will be donated to not-for-profit Power Through Sport CIC.
Johnny Tulip of Power Through Sports said: "We’re super-excited to be working in partnership with Metrocentre.
"As a not-for-profit aimed at rebalancing rising health inequalities and making the Northeast a healthier and happier region, alternative activities like roller sports have proven particularly engaging for those that slip through the net of mainstream sports."
Bookings go live on Wednesday and more information can be found on www.powerthroughsport.com/booknow
