A North East council has confirmed traffic measures will be in place for six weeks as works begin on a busy road.
Stockton Borough Council (SBC) has confirmed traffic management measures will be in place at the junction of Yarm Road and Urlay Nook Road from today (July 22).
This will allow for the carriageway to be resurfaced, while the existing traffic signals outside Cleveland Bay public house will also be replaced.
A Stockton Borough Council spokesperson said: “A reminder that, from today, traffic management measures will be in place on the junction of Yarm Road and Urlay Nook Road for approximately six weeks.
“The measures will be in place to allow for the replacement of existing traffic signals outside the Cleveland Bay public house.

“The carriageway will also be resurfaced during this time.
“While these essential works are carried out disruption will be minimised as far as possible, but some delays may be expected.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we carry out these improvements.”
