Roadworks are underway near a major Darlington roundabout.
A road closure has been put in place on Carmel Road South (A67), in Blackwell, near its junction with the A66 roundabout as pipeline and road works begin.
The road has been closed from the entrance to the new-build estate to The Spinney - with crews on-site from Monday (July 22).
The highway improvement works - which involve the installation of a foul rising main, also known as a pressurised sewer - are set to last for just under four months.
Traffic lights are in place along Carmel Road South while the works are ongoing - with queues expected due to the closeness of the site to the busy roundabout.
