From Primark and Nike to Lush and Wagamama, the last few years has seen a huge number of big-name brands set up shop at Teesside Park.

The complex may have been a staple for Teesside shoppers for decades - but years on, it’s still attracting major chains in the world of fashion, entertainment, and food and drink.

Teesside Park has seen some major changes in recent years, as bosses continue to transform the front of each store from older sheltered walkways to sleek new glass fronts.

And while many brands have recently opened up shop, like Poundland and Tim Hortons, others have turned off the tills for good, such as New Look, H&M, and MenKind.

With so many different shops coming and going, we’ve decided to round up all of the brands set to arrive at Teesside Park both this year and in the near future.

Mango

Fashion retailer Mango is set to open a new store in part of the former H&M after a planning application revealed plans for a new sign with the brand’s logo.

The unit has remained vacant since H&M closed its Teesside Park store in June 2022, and was initially set to boast designer brand Tessuti - although this never came to fruition.

Plans were approved last year to split the unit into three - with Mango expected to take up the furthest left unit, beside Boots.

The Spanish retailer is known for selling a range of Mediterranean-inspired clothing, and already has several stores across the north, including in Newcastle.

White Stuff

The chain - which already has stores in Harrogate, Newcastle, and Gateshead - is known for selling a range of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children.

White Stuff’s potential future at Teesside Park was first unveiled after park plans, drawn up by British Land, named the chain online.

These plans, which have since been taken down, listed White Stuff as moving into one of the three smaller stores made up of the former H&M.

Rituals

Cosmetics brand Rituals - similarly to White Stuff - was also named on park plans earlier this year as taking over another one of the units inside the former H&M.

The chain - which is known for selling a range of home and body products - has stores in Newcastle, Gateshead, Harrogate, and the York Designer Outlet.

The Northern Echo understands that Rituals is set to open in late 2024 - and although the store has not been officially confirmed, jobs are now up for grabs for store manager and assistant store manager online.

New Sports Direct

Works are continuing on a huge new unit at Teesside Park currently - and its set to become home to a huge new Sports Direct store.

Frasers Group - which owns the sporting chain - announced last year that Sports Direct would be expanding into a new 40,000sq ft space, featuring a GAME and Evans Cycles.

While its new location has not yet been confirmed, park plans currently state that Sports Direct will be taking over Unit 9A - the one under construction - soon.

The unit is made up of several former stores, including Laura Ashley, Argos, USC, and MenKind. It's expected to open later this year, or early next year.

Flannels

Designer chain Flannels - another one of Frasers Group’s brands - was announced to be coming to Teesside Park last year.

It will be moving into the current Sports Direct unit, which is 20,000sq ft, and is expected to carry out a huge refurb.

The luxury chain is known for selling a range of designer brands including Stone Island, Boss, Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, Polo Ralph Lauren, DSquared2, and Palm Angels.

An opening date has been set for later this year or early 2025.

PureGym

Fitness giant PureGym announced it would be taking over the former Millennium nightclub back in May with a new 15,000 sq ft gym.

The facility will provide members with 24/7 access to state-of-the-art equipment, a range of exercise classes and PTs.

The Millennium nightclub was a hugely popular nightspot during the late 90s and early 2000s - and is still fondly remembered despite being closed for decades.

While an opening date has not been confirmed for the new PureGym, it is expected to launch later this year.

B&M Garden Centre

B&M launched in the former Toys R Us store back in November last year, creating 60 jobs for the area at the revamped 34,686sqft unit.

However, the store's garden centre did not open at the same time - with signs on the front stating it would be launching in spring or summer of this year.

It is not known whether the garden centre is still scheduled to open this summer - and The Northern Echo has contacted B&M to see if this is still the case.
