Whilst some airlines have been hit by an IT outage affecting businesses, media, and banks around the world, North East airports are still operating.
Newcastle Airport and Teesside Airport are still "operating as normal" whilst working with business partners.
Some airlines are having issues nationwide, grounding planes that were due to depart this morning because of the "global technology issue".
The problem, which could be down to a Microsoft update, is impacting some airlines and terminal services.
