Here are a few of the people who were sentenced at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ courts recently.

The eight offenders to be sentenced include drink and drug drivers, those facing weapons charges and a sex offender.

Luke Boyce, of Emmanuel Close, Darlington, pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of his sexual harm prevention order on June 27 when he moved from his registered address without wearing a fully functioning and charged Location Monitoring Device. The 23-year-old was given a 18-week sentence suspended for 12-months and ordered to attend ten rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Anthony Lidster, of Grange Road, Darlington, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to police station cell after he was arrested on July 14. The 44-year-old was locked up for four weeks and ordered to £100 in compensation to Durham Constabulary.

James Gilling, of Woodland Crescent, Kelloe, County Durham, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he was stopped on Lansdowne Road, Coxhoe, on January 3 this year. The 38-year-old was banned from driving for two years and fined £986. He was also ordered to pay £479 in court costs.

Gary Mullaney, of Kent Road, Consett, County Durham, pleaded guilty to possession of a knife when he was stopped on Framwellgate Bridge, Durham City, on February 25. The 51-year-old was given a six-month suspended prison sentence for 12 months and the weapon was seized by the court.

Vincent Chatt, of Chaplin Street, Seaham, County Durham, pleaded guilty to possession of an air weapon after he was arrested Fabio's Nightclub when he was carrying a loaded Sig Sauer Air P365 BB CO2 Blowback Air Pistol. The 24-year-old was fined £200 and had the weapon seized by the courts. He was also ordered to pay £165 in court costs.

Daniel Spender, of Stratton Street, Spennymoor, pleaded guilty to drink driving on Clarence Street in the town when he was found to have 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on June 29. The 34-year-old was banned from driving for three years and fined £415. He was also ordered to pay £251 in court costs.

Daniel Sullivan, of Maple Avenue, Shildon, pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cocaine when he was arrested on  Main Street in the town on January 28. The 23-year-old was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120. He was also ordered to pay £133 in court costs.

Courtney Smith, of Kensington Terrace, Cockfield, Bishop Auckland, pleaded guilty to drink driving when she had 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when she breathalysed on Escomb Road, Bishop Auckland, on Thursday, June 13. The 21-year-old was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £276. They were also ordered to pay £195 in court costs.
