A County Durham man who was holding a 'knife' has been arrested after a huge armed response flocked to a residential housing estate last night.
Multiple police vehicles were seen on Hylton Road and Raby Road in Ferryhill last night (July 17) just before 4:30pm.
Officers were called regarding the welfare of a man and were pictured outside a property as neighbours looked out of their homes.
Police have now confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a 'bladed article'.
