Middleton Hall Retirement Village in Middleton St George near Darlington has embraced the spirit of summer so far with a series of vibrant and memorable events.
Middleton Grove kicked off the summer festivities with their much-anticipated BBQ summer party, uniting residents and families for an afternoon filled with delicious food and great company. The event was a hit, leaving everyone with summer vibes and smiles all around!
Following suit, Middleton Court hosted their elegant summer party with an Ascot-themed twist. The event featured a delightful afternoon tea and live music, where residents, families, and the amazing team of co-owners shared laughter and joy, creating cherished memories.
Residents were treated to a special visit from a therapy pony. The adorable pony, with its friendly and calming presence, provided the residents with an opportunity to relive fond memories and experience the therapeutic benefits of animal companionship.
Residents throughout the village, including those in independent retirement properties, have also enjoyed a busy schedule of events.
Among these, residents and visitors had the pleasure of attending a David Nieper fashion event, where style and community were celebrated in full swing. The day commenced with enlightening talks that delved into the rich history of the David Nieper brand, renowned for its timeless elegance and quality craftsmanship. The highlight of the event was a captivating fashion show, featuring Middleton Hall’s own co-owners and residents, who confidently graced the runway to showcase the latest collections.
Adding to the excitement, the village hosted a successful Beatles Night with ‘The Day Trippers,’ delighting residents with nostalgic tunes. A standout moment of the evening was when an audience member recounted their attendance at the legendary Beatles concert at the Globe in Stockton back in 1963, adding a touch of living history to the event. Event organiser and keyboard player Graham said, “We really enjoyed it, it was a real pleasure playing for such an enthusiastic audience.”
As Middleton Hall Retirement Village reflects on its summer so far, these events have not only brought smiles and laughter but have also strengthened the close-knit bonds within this thriving community.
There's still much excitement on the horizon... Residents and visitors alike can anticipate upcoming events such as the Classic Car Show on Wednesday, August 14th, the National Garden Scheme on Saturday, August 17th, and the Village Show on Saturday, September 14th.
