Two people have been hospitalised after a multi-vehicle crash on the A19 northbound this morning.
The incident involved three vehicles on the A19 at Dalton Park at around 7.48am.
Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
Two people were taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for treatment.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.48 this morning to a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A19 at Dalton Park.
"We dispatched two double crewed ambulances and two patients were taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital."
