The cheapest streets in Darlington have been revealed following research by a sales company.

Property Solvers used five years of sold house price data from HM Land Registry, tracking the average sold price data since 2019.

It found that Grasmere Road, Brighton Road and Ruby Street host some of Darlington's lowest-valued properties.

On Grasmere Road, six properties fetched an average of £46,657 each.

While three properties on Brighton Road averaged £46,666 and four houses on Ruby Street were sold for an average of £48,250.

Ruban Selvanayagam, co-founder of Property Solvers commented on the methodology used, saying: "To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales."

It was noted that properties on Ruby Street, Craig Street and Hargreave Terrace sold for prices of £37,500 and lower.

White Hart Crescent and Risdale Street were also among those with low house prices in Darlington, with properties selling for averages of £49,483 and £50,500 respectively.
