Fashion retailer Mango looks set to become the latest chain to join Teesside Park.

The Spanish firm - which has several stores across the region including Newcastle, York and Leeds - is earmarked to take over a section of Unit 21A, the former H&M store.

Plans submitted to Stockton Council reveal how the popular retailer wishes to erect a new sign on the unit, which is set to be split into three smaller shops, featuring the chain’s logo.

The unit in question has remained vacant since H&M closed its Teesside Park store in June 2022, with transformation works quickly getting underway on stripping back the interior and adding a new glass front.

Designer chain Tessuti, owned by Frasers Group, was initially announced to be taking over the site - but after years of uncertainty, this never came to fruition.

Last November, proposals were approved by the council to split the space into three smaller stores, with news on which brands could be moving in unknown.

Then in May, plans drawn up by British Land named fashion chain White Stuff and cosmetic brand Rituals as the firms taking over two of the three new units.

The fresh application for Mango - submitted on July 10 - details how two new signs would be added, one above the entrance doors and another main logo at the top of the building.

Drawings also show two Mango logos in black vinyl, and two black stripes, which would be fixed to the inside of the glass doors.

The firm would be located in the unit closest to the Boots store next door.

The news comes just weeks after Mango bosses announced it had signed on for a new location at the Metrocentre in Gateshead.

The store will be located in the centre’s Lower Red Mall and will be the largest in the region to date when it opens later this summer.

Mango is known for selling a range of Mediterranean-inspired clothing, with items for men, women, teens, and children.

It could be the latest in a long line of stores to join Teesside Park in recent months, following the openings of Primark, B&M, Wagamama and Lush.
