Darlington's best and worst performing GP surgeries revealed

Results of the GP Patient Survey 2024 have been published after patients across Darlington were asked to fill in questionnaires about their experiences.

The survey measures how surgeries are rated across a range of topics, including how easy it is to get through on the phone, make an appointment, access to online services and overall satisfaction.

None of the practices managed to get the perfect 100 per cent satisfaction rating but Rockliffe Court Surgery came very close with 98 per cent.

Which surgery in Darlington is the worst according to the survey?

Clifton Court Medical Practice comes out bottom of the ranking with 70 per cent of patients saying that they had a good overall experience. 

Just 41per cent of patients say that they get to see their GP when they would like to.

The vast majority (90 per cent) of patients felt that when they were seen by a GP their needs were met.

The next lowest-rated surgeries in Darlington were Denmark Street Surgery and Moorlands Surgery which were both tied at 77 per cent satisfaction.

Just 37 per cent of patients at Denmark Street Surgery found it easy to get through to the practice by phone.

Patients reported that it was difficult at both surgeries to get to see their preferred medical practitioner.

Which surgery in Darlington has performed the best?

Rockliffe Surgery and Orchard Court Surgery had the best ratings with 98 per cent and 97 per cent respectively.

St George's Medical Practice just missed out on the top two spots with 95 per cent of patients saying that they had a good overall experience.
