Police have launched an appeal to locate three men after a "serious assault" left a person with a head injury in Darlington over the weekend.

The alleged incident happened at The Tanners Hall on Skinnergate at around 11pm on Saturday (July 13). 

A victim is said to have sustained a head injury as an investigation into the incident continues.

The statement reads: "Do you recognise these three men?

"We’d like to speak to them in connection with a serious assault which occurred in Darlington on Saturday (July 6).

"The incident happened at The Tanners Hall on Skinnergate at around 11pm and resulted in the victim sustaining a serious head injury.

"Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact PC Waddington on 101 then extension 209156.

"Alternatively, information can be passed via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
