Excitement is building ahead of Ninja Warrior opening at Teesside Park next week.
The long-teased attraction bringing a replica of the ITV show’s obstacle course to Teesside will open to adventurous punters next Saturday, July 20.
The venue had been poised to open this week, but bosses have pushed back the opening date to next week.
New details of all of the obstacles have been revealed with the venue promising an “action-packed experience for all ages” with a mix of “adrenalin-fuelled obstacle courses and giant inflatable runs”.
Spanning more than 28,000sq ft, the former Rainbow Casino unit at the retail park which has sat closed since 2016, will be filled with a host of recognisable challenges from the hit TV show.
Well-known challenges including the warped wall, flying squirrel and spider wall will be at the venue for visitors to take on, with two fixed obstacle courses and a giant inflatable course featuring tunnels and towers.
Among the new additions are ‘camel back’, a curvy obstacle said to promise a “fun and tough workout” and ‘cargo bags’ which “push participants’ grip, strength and climbing skills to the limits”.
The venue will also have a dedicated area for under fours or ‘young ninjas’, a café, a viewing area and party rooms.
